Job Keeper Extension

In this video I demonstrate how to process STP for the Job Keeper extension. The main thing is to add the appropriate Tier to the employee's STP lodgement/Pay event.

Note that the sound cuts out at the last pay slip, which is just demonstrating the top up which is in the previous video as well.

The job keeper tier codes (description for the other allowance tax code) are:

JK-TIER1

and

JK-TIER2

The employee's tier should not change as it's based on something that has already happened. However if you made a mistake there are 2 ways to correct this:

1. Amend the batch fix the tier and relodge.
2. Edit the original pay slip and remove the incorrect tier. This is required because the software will continue to lodge the YTD amounts which includes the incorrect tier. You will need to manually change the batch status to created status so that you are able to change the pay slip. Make sure you do not change anything else on the pay slip as you are changing a lodged document (in fact you should make a back up before doing this). Then put the correct tier on the next pay.
3. Put a second code, JK-TIER1X or JK-TIER2X on the pay slip. This let's the ATO know to cancel the original JK-TIER1 or JK-TIER2 code. Then put the correct code on the pay slip.

Note that there is a new abbreviated version of the codes that uses JK-ST... instead of JOBKEEPER-START... I am using the long format to be consistent with our previous approach. If you use the short version that is fine.
